Dreams Come True, Have Courage

Dear Collective Family,

This week's intention hits on something we’ve all felt: "Dreams do come true, have the courage to pursue them."

Dreams are fascinating, aren't they? They hold the promise of something bigger, better, and meaningful. Whether it’s a career goal, a personal achievement, or even the dream of simply being the best version of yourself—dreams pull us forward. But what often goes unspoken is that the pursuit of those dreams is not going to go exactly as you planned. There will be hurdles, frustrations, moments of doubt, and times when everything seems stacked against you.

That’s where courage steps in.

You see, it’s not about expecting everything to be smooth or picture-perfect on your path. It’s about having the courage to keep showing up, trying again, and pushing forward even when things don’t go according to plan. It’s about trusting that even when the journey is rocky, those dreams are still within reach if you keep moving.

Let’s take a lesson from some of the most remarkable stories of success, especially those who ran the Chicago Marathon just this past month. Those runners didn’t make it 26.2 miles in one leap. They made it by taking step after step, no matter how slow or painful it got. They could have stopped at any point, but they didn’t. They had the courage to keep going, even when the finish line felt miles away.

This lesson can be applied to anything you're working towards. Your fitness goals, your personal development, your career aspirations—whatever the dream may be, it’s courage that will help you get there.

So, how can we embody this intention throughout our week?

  1. Accept that it won't always be easy. The sooner we realize that pursuing dreams will involve setbacks, the quicker we can face them with resilience. When something doesn’t go your way this week, take a breath and keep going. Know that this challenge is part of the process.

  2. Courage is built through action. Even on the days when you’re unsure, taking one small step toward your dream reinforces your courage. Every rep you push through, every obstacle you tackle, every moment you choose to keep going builds that inner strength.

  3. Trust the journey. Sometimes the dream seems distant because we’re only focused on the end result. This week, try to focus on the present step. Whether it’s showing up for a workout or tackling a challenge at work, each step brings you closer. You don’t have to see the entire staircase to know that you're climbing.

  4. Surround yourself with support. Courage is often easier when we have people who believe in us. Whether it’s through conversations in class, support from the community, or simply knowing we are all striving towards something together—lean on your tribe.

Here’s the truth: Dreams don’t die unless we let them. As long as you have the courage to keep pursuing them, you’re already on the path to making them come true. Will it be tough? Absolutely. But that’s what makes the success so sweet—the fact that you didn’t give up, that you kept going even when it was hard.

This week, as we focus on this intention, I challenge you to ask yourself: What step can I take today? It doesn’t have to be a giant leap. It can be small, but let it be forward. Show yourself that you have the courage not just to dream but to pursue your dreams relentlessly, even when the journey is tough.

Let’s embrace the journey, and remember that courage is what turns dreams into reality.

Keep pushing forward,
Charlie
