Step By Step
Dear Collective,
This week’s intention is a recognition of a simple truth: “You assemble your life yourself. Action by action.”
Life is built on the small steps we take daily, and while we often focus on the big goals or outcomes, it’s those tiny decisions, those individual actions that make the difference. This past weekend, Chicago witnessed an incredible event – the Chicago Marathon. It’s a perfect example of how life is truly a collection of steps.
Each participant had the choice to stop with any step they took. At any mile marker, any point of exhaustion, they could have decided to give in. But they didn’t. With every step forward, they continued to decide to finish the race. Every step was an action building towards their goal.
Life’s big challenges are much like that marathon. It’s not about one giant leap but about the small, seemingly insignificant steps we take daily. Each action we choose to take is assembling the bigger picture of our lives. Whether it’s waking up early for that workout, eating well, or taking time for self-care — all these small actions add up to something greater.
This week, let’s focus on the little steps. When you feel overwhelmed, remember: you don’t have to conquer everything at once. Just keep moving forward, one step, one action at a time. And before you know it, you’ll have built something extraordinary.
