  • 1 tsp. Salt

  • 1 tsp. Black Pepper

  • 1 tsp. Thyme

  • 1-2 Russet Potatoes (cubed)

  • cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for a few minutes.

  2. In a bowl, toss the cubed potatoes with cooking spray, ensuring they are evenly coated. Add salt, pepper, and any optional seasonings according to your taste preferences.

  3. Place the seasoned potatoes in the air fryer basket or tray in a single layer, ensuring they have enough space to cook evenly.

  4. Air fry the potatoes at 400°F (200°C) for approximately 15–20 minutes, or until they are crispy and golden brown. Remember to shake or flip the potatoes halfway through cooking to ensure even browning.

  5. Once the potatoes are cooked to your desired crispiness, remove them from the air fryer.

  6. In a large skillet, use cooking spray to coat the pan. Add the chopped onion and bell pepper. Sauté for a few minutes until the vegetables become tender and aromatic.

  7. Add the lean ground turkey or 96/4 ground beef to the skillet, breaking it up with a spoon or spatula. Cook until the meat is browned and cooked through, ensuring there are no pink parts.

  8. Reduce the heat to low and add the ketchup, chicory root or honey, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, and optional spices if desired. Stir well to combine all the ingredients.

  9. Simmer the mixture for about 10–15 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together and the sauce to thicken slightly. Taste and adjust the seasoning with salt and black pepper according to your preference.

  10. Create a well in the the center of the pan and add the potatoes. Mix it all up

  11. Serve it up!
