Ingredient List
8 oz Banza pasta (or any pasta of your choice)
1 lb 96/4 ground beef
1 small onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 packet taco seasoning
1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes
1 can (4 oz) diced green chilies or diced green peppers
1 cup low-sodium beef broth
1/2 cup shredded low-fat cheddar cheese
Optional toppings: diced tomatoes, sliced green onions, sour cream, avocado
Instructions
Cook the Banza pasta according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat.
Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet and cook until the onion is translucent.
Stir in the taco seasoning, diced tomatoes, diced green chilies, and beef broth. Bring the mixture to a simmer and let it cook for 5-7 minutes.
Add the cooked Banza pasta to the skillet and toss to coat it evenly with the sauce.
Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the top of the pasta and cover the skillet. Let it cook for a few minutes until the cheese is melted and gooey.
Serve the Taco Pasta hot, and garnish with your choice of toppings such as diced tomatoes, sliced green onions, sour cream, or avocado.
